Shaaban: What is Taking Place in Palestine is Essence of What Targets this Nation

DAMASCUS – On the occasion of Al-Quds Cultural Day, Al-Quds International Foundation-Syria branch organized activities of “A Land Story” event which started on Wednesday at Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.

In a speech delivered during the event, Presidential Political and Media Adviser, Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban affirmed that the Arab elites must stand boldly and develop united and courageous Arab strategies to resist the Israeli occupation.

“We believe that our interests are the same and that our fate is one and the same, and that the fate of Palestine is like that of Syria, Lebanon and Algeria, as the fate of any Arab country,” she said, according to SANA.

The Advisor pointed out that the late President Hafez al-Assad realized at an early stage that the division of the Arab ranks and the division of this nation are the first goal of the Zionist entity and the United States, and that the Israeli entity wants to take more lands and appropriate Palestine and other occupied Arab territories.

In turn, the participants said that this event proves that Jerusalem is still the compass for the people of Syria, adding that there is no solution for the Palestinian cause other than the restoration of the entire Palestinian territories and the return of all the Palestinian people and Palestinian refugees to their homes and land.

They pointed out that the pressure placed on Syria, Iraq, Hezbollah and Iran, the threat of Algeria and what is going on in Egypt are all used in order to market new settlement projects in the region that serve the desires, demands, and goals of the Zionist entity.
