Enhancing Cooperation between Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Sino-Arab Association

Damascus, (ST) -The Board of Directors of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce discussed here with the delegation of the Sino-Arab Association the areas of cooperation between Syrian companies and their Chinese counterparts and means of motivating and supporting Chinese companies to enter the fields of investment and construction projects in Syria.

The head of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Mohamed Ghassan Al-Qalaa pointed to the depth of the relations between Syria and China in all fields, stressing the importance of the participation of Chinese companies in the reconstruction phase, especially that China is a friendly country and has supporting positions for Syria.

For his part, Mohamed Hamsho, secretary-general of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and head of the Syrian side in the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, stressed the importance of working to develop relations between the two countries, especially economic, trade and investment.

He pointed out that the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Syrian business sector relies heavily on the contribution of Chinese companies in the reconstruction phase and the provision of financing for investment projects, stressing the readiness of the Federation to provide assistance and advice to Chinese companies and search for the right partner from the Syrian side of the public and private sectors.

For his part, the head of the delegation of the Arab -Chinese Association Shen Yong, the importance of working with the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and strengthen relations with the Association to push Chinese companies to contribute to the reconstruction process in Syria, stressing that he will convey to these companies the real picture of the situation of investment opportunities that can be achieved during their work in Syria.
