LONDON, (ST)- British writer and journalist Robert Fisk expressed astonishment why the US President Donald Trump has refrained from condemning the terrorist blast which targeted on Saturday Aleppo’s al-Rashidin area where buses carrying evacuees from the terrorist-besieged Kafraya and Foua villages in Idleb countryside, were waiting.
The terror act killed dozens of innocent people.
In an article published by The Independent on Monday, Fisk criticized the double standards policies of the United States and western countries and wondered why “softhearted” Trump didn’t care about the children of Kafraya and Foua, the victims of the terrorist blast, but cared much about the victims of the alleged chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun.
He said the explosion claimed the lives of many children, yet the White House said nothing and Trump didn’t even Tweet his grief. Those claiming that they are protecting ethical values kept silent over the crime and the EU refused to say a single word, Fisk added.
“Do they feel no sense of shame? What callousness. What disgrace. How outrageous that our compassion should dry up the moment we realized that this latest massacre of the innocents wasn’t worth tears and fury,” the British writer said, according to the British newspaper.
Tens of peoples were martyred and tens others were wounded as a result of a terrorist car bomb explosion that targeted the bus convoy evacuating the people of Kafraya and al-Fou’a villages of Idleb countryside to Aleppo.
The two villages have been besieged by terrorists since 2013.
The terrorist explosion caused the martyrdom of tens of civilians, most of them were children and women, and caused huge damage to the vehicles and ambulances.
