Azzam Conveys President Al-Assad’s Congratulations to Christian Denominations in Syria on Easter

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Delegated by President Bashar Al-Assad, Minister for Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam on Sunday visited heads of Christian denominations in Syria and conveyed to them President Al-Assad’s congratulations and best wishes of prosperity to the Christian community in Syria on Easter.

 According to SANA, Azzam visited Patriarchal Vicar at the Church of Antioch and all East for Greek Orthodox Afram Maalouli, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All East Mar Ignatius Aphram II, Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All East Gregory III Laham, Syriac Catholic Church Archbishop Elias Tabi, Armenian Catholic Bishop of Damascus Jospeh Arnaouti, Pastor of the Evangelical Church of Damascus Rev. Boutros Zaour, Archbishop of the Maronite Church Bishop Samir Nassar, Parish Priest at the Latin Monastery in Damascus Father Bahjat Karakash, and Armenian Orthodox Bishop of Damascus Armash Nalbandian.

On their part, the heads of the Christian denominations expressed their great appreciation for the President’s gesture and their optimism over Syria’s soon victory on terrorism.
