al-Dandah Appointed Ambassador to Iraq

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Satam Jadan al-Dandah was appointed as Syria’s Ambassador to Iraq.

Ambassador al-Dandah was received on Tuesday by President Bashar Al-Assad, who gave his directions to the Ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.

Syria has strongly opposed the March 2003 US invasion of Iraq, which caused tens of thousands of Iraqi civilian deaths.
