PA Speaker to Syrian Community in Moscow: Expatriates Play Key Role in Confronting Terror War on Homeland

MOSCOW,(ST)- Speaker of the People’s Assembly [Parliament] Hadiyeh Abbas has underscored that Syrian communities all over the world play key role in confronting the terror war being waged on Syria.

Her remarks came during her meeting today with the Syrian community in Moscow.

“You are ambassadors of your homeland and your role is essential because we have to unveil terrorism wherever you are and you have responsibility to defend your homeland and its sovereignty and future,” Abbas said addressing the community’s members.

She referred to the  U.S. aggressive policy, clarifying that U.S. aggression carried out on April 7, 2017 on Syria came after victories achieved by Syrian Arab army in Hama countryside and on the outskirts of Damascus.

“Despite all complexities, we are able to achieve victories on the ground with the help of our Russian and Iranian friends and with the constant  steadfastness of our people and president. Actually we made progress in the political talks held in Astana and Geneva and we reached local reconciliations  with the help of Russia,” the Speaker added.

She stressed that the so-called ‘Syrian opposition ‘ implements Arab, regional and western agendas and it has conspired against its country and has worked on killing Syrians and displacing them, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency added that Abbas briefed the Syrian community in Moscow on what is going on in Syria and the goals of the Zionist-imperialist plot targeting the country.
