Putin and Rouhani: US aggressive actions against Syria are inadmissible

Moscow – Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani affirmed during a phone conversation on Sunday the inadmissibility of the US aggressive actions against Syria as they are in violation of international law, SANA reported.

The Kremlin said in a statement that on the initiative of the Iranian party, a phone conversation between Putin and Rouhani was held, and during it the presidents exchanged their views regarding the situation in Syria, with both parties pointing out the inadmissibility of the US aggressive actions against the sovereign state of Syria in violation of the international law.

 

The two presidents stressed the importance of maintaining close cooperation to reach a political and diplomatic settlement of the Syrian crisis, in addition to calling for holding an objective and impartial investigation of all the circumstances of the incident involving chemical weapons in the Syrian province of Idleb on April 4th.
