“Believe in Aleppo” Campaign Launched to Highlight Aleppo People’s Steadfastness against Terrorist War

ALEPPO, (ST)- Junior Chamber International (JCI) in Aleppo in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism on Friday inaugurated the “Believe in Aleppo ” Monument  within the framework of “Peace is Possible” campaign. The festivity witnessed official and popular participation.

The inauguration of the monument, which was built in front of Aleppo Citadel Wall, aims to shed light on the steadfastness of the people of Aleppo in the face of the terrorist war that destroyed huge parts of this ancient city.

It is also a message to the entire world that the Syrians are peace-loving people whose spirits won’t collapse under the burdens of this war and that the city of Aleppo will restore its beauty and become stronger and brighter after all its locals participate in its rebuilding.

“Believe in Aleppo” campaign aims at restoring confidence to the civilians and help them return to their city, because today, Aleppo is back to life thanks to the sacrifices of the homeland martyrs.

The JCI was established in Syria in 2004 under the sponsorship of the International Trade Chamber. The official launch of JCI Aleppo was on the 20th of January 2006.

JCI is a worldwide community of young active citizens ages 18-40 who share the belief that in order to create positive change, youths must take collective action to improve themselves and the world around them. Engaging in activities ranging from community development to international projects, members demonstrate their social responsibility and improve themselves through participation, leadership and action.
