Pakistan’s Ambassador in Damascus Affirms His Country’s Support for Syria’s Sovereignty, Territorial Integrity

DAMASCUS-Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan held on Wednesday a reception on the occasion of national day at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.

Ambassador of Pakistan in Damascus Syed Athar Hussain Bukhari said that the friendly and brotherly relations between Syria and Pakistan are historic, affirming that his country fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, hoping Astana and Geneva talks would be successful to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people, according to SANA.

He pointed out to the importance of boosting bilateral relations, particularly in economy to expand and increase trade exchange and investments between the two countries.

 For his part, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Faisal al-Mikdad described relations between the two states as good and advanced throughout history, hoping the fraternal ties would increase to combat terrorism in Syria, Pakistan and the whole world.

Speaker of the people’s Assembly Hadiyah Abbas, Presidential Political and Media Advisor Buthaina Sha’aban, a number of Ministers, Ambassadors and other several activities attended the reception.
