Syria, Russia, Iran Discuss Means to Achieve Progress in Intra-Syrian Talks in Geneva
GENEVA- The Syrian Arab Republic delegation headed by Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari met Tuesday with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov and Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Vershinin and the accompanying delegation.
According to SANA, both sides exchanged viewpoints on the process of the intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva fifth round of talks .
The two sides agreed on continuous consultations to help achieve progress in the talks.
” We presented a number of papers and waiting for the seriousness of the other parties in interacting with those papers,” the Syria delegation said.
Syrian Arab Republic delegation meets Iran’s Permanent Representative to UN in Geneva
The Syrian Arab Republic delegation also met the Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Office in Geneva Mohsen Naziri Asl.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Permanent Syrian Mission to the United Nations in the Swiss city.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the fifth round of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, which is currently being held, stressing the continuation of consultation and coordination between the two sides.
