Nuclear program fully peaceful, transparent

TEHRAN– Bahram Ghasemi said Iran’s nuclear program has been fully transparent and all IAEA reports attest that the country’s nuclear activities are peaceful and non-damaging.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi said recent remarks by US Vice President Mike Pence in a Zionist lobby in Washington as repetitious, fictitious and in line with hostile and unilateralist policies of the American government against Iran, according to mehr News .

“America’s unwavering support for Israel’s nuclear military activities, which have led to production and stockpilinhg of hundreds of nuclear warheads, represent the full support of the aggressor regime and cause instability and insecurity in the region and the world,” he underscored.

 On Iran’s missile program, Ghasemi asserted “as announced repeatedly, defensive activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are being pursued on a regular schedule and are not against any other country as it is fully deterrent.”

“We accept no advice neither do we allow outsiders to interfere with our attempt to strengthen the country’s domestic defense power,” stressed the official recalling that eight years of Sacred Defense and the imposed war taught the nation to rely on domestic capabilities while defending integrity and independence of the country.

FM spokesman further noted that America’s support for Israel’s act of aggression against the people of region as well as daily crimes of America’s allies against the defenseless people pf Yemen have added to insecurity of the Middle East.

“The region and the world will never enjoy peace as long as these wrong policies persist,” he concluded.
