Syrian Arab Republic Delegation to Geneva Talks Presents Paper on Terrorism Fighting

GENEVA, (ST)- A second round of talks was held on Saturday between the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation, led by Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, and the UN special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura within the framework of the fifth round of Intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva. The talks dealt with terrorism fighting, according to sources close to the United Nations.

During the meeting, the delegation presented a paper on ways to combat terrorism, the sources said.

Yesterday, Al-Jaafari said that the round of talks the Syrian Arab Republic’s Delegation held with De Mistura in Geneva focused on the issue of fighting terrorism, particularly in the light of the terrorist attacks currently targeting Damascus and Hama countryside.

Official talks within the Geneva fifth round of Intra-Syrian dialogue started on Friday.
