MOSCOW, (ST)- Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Dmitry Rogozin on Friday discussed economic cooperation issues and ways to activate the permanent joint committee for economic, trade, Scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting comes with the framework of the distinguished ties linking between the Syrian Arab Republic and Russia.
During the meeting, Azzam handed Rogozin a letter from Syria’s Prime Minister Imad Khamis to his Russian counterpart.
Azzam and Rogozin also discussed drawing up a work plan, in accordance with the directives of Presidents Bashar Al-Assad and Vladimir Putin, to boost Syrian-Russian cooperation in different fields, particularly economy.
Rogozin affirmed his country’s determination to continue providing all necessary assistance to support the Syrian economy and alleviate the Syrians’ suffering caused by terrorism.
