Syrian Expatriates’ Role in Reconstruction ‘Essential’- Hilal

On day two of their visit to homeland, the Syrian expatriates in Kuwait held talks with Assistant Regional Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal and visited wounded soldiers in ‘Martyr Yousef al-Azmeh’ Hospital in Damascus.

The meeting between the expatriates and the Baathist official focused on the Syrian community’s role in reconstruction process and in confronting the unprecedented aggression on the homeland, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). 

The agency quoted al-Hilal as saying: “The process of rebuilding the homeland is integral process that requires efforts from all honest persons…We all have to stand together to support the homeland.”

 Al-Hilal asserted keenness on constant communication with Syrian communities abroad, adding that the role of Syrian expatriates, who are living in Kuwait, is ‘extremely important’ in reconstruction process.

On his part, head of the visiting expatriates’ delegation Ghassan Anjarini said that their visit comes within the stage of reconstruction.

“Main strategies have been put for projects to be launched by the community’s members in order to enhance national economy,”  he added, clarifying that there will be investment projects for martyrs’ families.

Earlier, the expatriates visited wounded Syrian soldiers in the “Martyr Yousef al-Azmeh’ Hospital in Damascus and expressed their pride in the army’s heroism, affirming their readiness to press ahead with supporting wounded soldiers and martyrs’ families.

Yesterday, the expatriated met Deputy Minister of Expatriates and Foreign Affairs Ayman Susan and the Republic’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Badereddin Hasson.
