Khan Al Harir Exhibition Kicks off in Damascus

Damascus, (ST)- With the participation of some 87 companies specialized in garment industry and weaving, Khan Al Harir Exhibition started today at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus. The event is held with the support of Exports Association (EA) and organized by the Aleppo Chamber of Industry under the auspices of the Ministries of Industry, Economy and Foreign Trade and the support of Development of Domestic Production and Export Promotion Association.

 In a statement to local press, Director General of Exports Association al Mahdi al Daly underlined that the participation of such a large number of industrialists in the field of clothing and textile in the exhibition explains that Aleppo is still the capital of the Syrian industry and refers to the start of industrial production wheel and the recovery of national industry. He indicated that the support given by the Exports Association to the exhibition represents in ensuring all expenses of transport and air freight.

For his part, member of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry Mohamed Sabbagh said in a similar statement that the wide participation of Aleppo industrialists in this session, refers to the challenge of industrialists to difficult working conditions and their determination to work more and take part in  exhibitions and promote their products to give a message about the steadfastness of the Syrian people and their determination to continue production and provide their products with best specifications and high quality.

The Aleppo Chamber of Industry held last year two sessions of the exhibition “Khan Al Harir” at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus with the participation of more than 160 companies in the two sessions.
