Army Chief of Staff visits a number of army positions in Aleppo and its countryside

Aleppo – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, the Commander-in-Chief of the army and armed forces, the army’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ali Abdullah Ayoub visited Wednesday a number of military posts in Aleppo and its countryside, SANA reported.

During the tour, General Ayoub conveyed President al-Assad’s greetings and appreciation of the army soldiers’ courage and sacrifices, inspecting the field situation and conditions of their tasks.

Touring Tadef city, Abu Taltal and a number of liberated towns in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, General Ayoub inspected the volume of destruction and sabotage left by ISIS terrorist gangs and their criminal means in booby-trapping the armored vehicles provided to them by countries that support terrorism.

He listened to a detailed explanation, by field commanders, in one of the army’s positions at Salim mountain about the nature of battales carried out by units of the army in Aleppo north-eastern countryside, hailing the courage of the soldiers who stormed the fortifications of ISIS and expelled them from tens of villages and towns in the region.
