Arab Parties Voice Support for Syria, Resistance
Secretary-General of Arab Parties Conference Qasem al-Saleh has asserted that over 139 Arab parties are working on correcting the path of countries that deviated from the Arab path and associated with foreign projects.
Speaking to the Syrian Arab News Agency ‘s reporter on the sidelines of the two-day meeting held by General Secretariat of Arab Parties Conference in Damascus, al-Saleh said: “Damascus has been incubator for the conference in all circumstances, so the secretariat held its meeting in Damascus under the banner “Loyalty to Syria”… Syria has supported resistance and Arab just causes and now it faces a terrorist global war as result of treachery and collusion of some Arab regimes”.
He affirmed that Arab popular movement stands by Syria in confronting the war being waged on it. “Political parties in all Arab countries consider Syria as a main core in the axis of resistance and in fighting the Zionist terrorism that poses threat to the Arab nation,” al-Saleh added.
On his part, Head of the Democratic Generation Party in Egypt Naji al-Shehabi said that the participants in the meetings held on Monday and Tuesday discussed the Arab concern and the Zionist western plot against the Arab nation that aims to draw new map of the Middle East similar to ‘Sykes-Picot’.
Syria is not isolated
Representative of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Libya Rajab Maatouq said: ” We came to Syria to express our support for Syrian army, people and leadership and to greet Syria’s legendary steadfastness in facing the new Ottoman-Zionist-imperialist plot which sought expanding towards the Arab region but it was stopped by Syria.”
He asserted that Syria is not isolated and it is supported by all Arab parties that represent majority of Arab peoples.
Another remark was made by Deputy First Secretary of the Jordanian Democratic People’s Party Adnan Khalifeh, who asserted that Syria will be an example to be followed by all countries in the future as long as it has determination and resolve.
Member of Political Council of Ansarollah in Yemen Ibrahim al-Delmi said that national Yemeni parties came to take part in the meetings being held in Syria , the country of steadfastness and resistance- despite blockade and comprehensive war being waged on Yemen- in order to be briefed on situations in Arab countries.
“The conference aims to reach a common vision to be conveyed to the Arab countries and to enhance communication between Arab parties,” al-Delmi added.
The 61st session of the General Secretariat of Arab Parties Conference kicked off yesterday in al-Sham Hotel in Damascus with the participation of Arab politicians.
