The army kills more terrorists, including leaders in Daraa and Deir Ezzor

Provinces – Army and Armed Forces units continued on Thursday  their operations against terrorist organizations in different areas, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying their vehicles, SANA reported.

Daraa

Army units launched intensive operations on the gatherings and fortifications of the terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra in Daraa al-Balad area in the southern province of Daraa, a military source said.

 

The source added that the operations resulted in the killing of a number of terrorists, including the Saudi terrorist Mohammad al-Faraj, one of al-Nusra leaders, and the destruction of anti-tank base and two machine guns.

Idleb

An army unit fired rocket shells on sites and fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in Kafr Sajna village in Maaret al-Nouman area in the southern countryside of Idleb.

14 terrorists were killed and 2 cars equipped with heavy machine guns were destroyed as a result of the army operations, SANA added.

Quneitra

An army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, targeting a terrorist group of 8 members trying to infiltrate at Tal Sahi site in Khan Arnaba town in the northern countryside of Quneitra.

All the terrorists were killed or injured.

Deir Ezzor

Army units, backed by the Air Force, destroyed on Thursday positions and fortifications for ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor city and its western countryside.

The army units killed in a special operation all members of an ISIS terrorist group, including a leader who is named Abu al-Zubeir al-Tunisi and his assistant Abu Mehjn, on the southern outskirts of the city.

Identical local and media sources said Abu al-Zubeir had given an order before he was killed to liquidate the remaining groups which attacked the graveyards area after the attack failed and the rest of the terrorists fled.

The artillery of the Syrian Arab army targeted fortifications and a barricade for ISIS terrorists in al-Bugheiliyeh village and the surroundings of al-Halabiyeh roundabout in al Salihiyeh area, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.
