Beirut, (ST) – Activities of the Syria Mod exhibition for Textile Industries and Garments ended recently in Beirut. The event was held by the Syrian Exporters Association of Clothing and Textile in cooperation with the Syrian Federation of Exporters and Damascus Chamber of Industry.
Vice -President of the Syrian Exporters Association of Clothing and Textile, who is head of Textile sector at the Federation of Syrian Exporters Firas Taqi Eddin said:
“The exhibition has become a basic window for the textile industry in Syria and the Lebanese importereagerly waits for the eventas well as most of the importers in the Arab countries and the Syrian textile goods have become an indispensable need for Arab importers.
“The textile sector is the largest operator of the labor force in Syria, whereas the results of this exhibition will be reflected not only on the participating companies, but also on factories and workshops, which will make contracts with these companies to fulfill the contracts that have been signed with importers” he pointed out..
The three-day expo was held at a venue that covers around 4,000 square meters. On the sideline of the event, exhibitions for leather products, flowers, decorative plants, and fine arts also were held.
Syria Maud is considered one of the most successful exhibitions in marketing the Syrian product in the field of fashions and textile and their requirements of production and clothing.
