Iranian President : National Dialogue the Only Solution to Crisis in Syria

TEHRAN,(ST)_  Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad  stressed   that his country  stands by Syria against the war targeting it , noting that there is no way to resolve the crisis in Syria  but only  through the cessation of violence and the national dialogue sit in the political program put forward by President Bashar Assad, adding that Syria will achieve victory , thanks to its wise leadership and Syrian people ‘s loyalty.

During his meeting with Syria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Mouallem in Tehran on Saturday, the Iranian President noted that he follows up the events  taking place in Syria.

“Iran is a brotherly country to  Syria and stands beside her in the face of the global war against it, and that  the steadfastness of Syria and commitment of  its army and people  established a common belief  that there is no  way to resolve the crisis in Syria, but in  halting  violence and resorting  to national dialogue and understanding and the political program put forward by President Assad is good and positive. ” The Iranian President underscored.

For his part, al-Mouallem explained to the  Iranian President developments in Syria and the dimensions of the plot against it,  designed to destroy its infrastructure and strength through the deployment  of   terrorist elements affiliated to ( al-Nusra Front) and other armed terrorist groups terrorist elements  brought  into Syrian by known regional and world  countries after training, financing and arming them  to carry out terrorist  acts against citizens and military and  order  keeping forces and public and private property inside  Syria.

He stressed  the need of halting violence  and drying up terrorists  sources by pressuring countries  supporting it so as to ensure a  climate of security and stability for the success of the dialogue initiated  by the government among the Syrians without foreign interference,  in implementation of the political program presented by President Assad.

On the other hand, al-Moallem  presented  Saeed Jalili, Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Iranian national security with  the current situation in Syria.

Jalili , for his part, stressed the need for continued consultation and coordination between the two countries, expressing his conviction that Syria will emerge triumphed  against  the conspiracy , thanks to the unity of its people and their loyalty to the Syrian leadership.
