Deir Ezzor – Army units, backed by the Air Force, launched on Wednesday strikes against fortifications of ISIS terrorists in neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city and in its countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them in weaponry and personnel.
A military source said that the army units destroyed a car bomb and fortifications of the terrorists, killing many of them in aerial and artillery bombardments in al-Tharda mountain, al-Bu Omar, al-Mrei’iyeh, al-Bugheiliyeh, al-Husseiniyeh, al-Jafra, Hweijet Saqr, al-Hossan and al-Rushdiyeh, SANA reported.
SANA said that an army unit monitored a radio-controlled plane loaded with highly explosive materials in Tal Brouk area that was flying towards a military post, adding that it was destroyed before reaching its target.
