In its first article, the law stipulates that granting this certificates requires providing proof that military personnel had been injured due to war or military operations, or at the hands of hostile elements or terrorist gangs, and that the aggravation of the injury was without any external influences, in addition to a certified resolution issued by medical committees and the Military Medical Council that clarifies that the death is a direct result of the worsening of the injury.
As this law has a retroactive effect, its provisions will be applied to cases dating back to 15/3/2011.
The Assembly also approved a bill amending two articles of the Legislative Decree no.30 for 2007 on the military service law, and a bill on inheritance and commandment for people of the Evangelical denomination in the Syrian Arab Republic.
