The army foils ISIS attacks near Palmyra

Homs – Army units foiled an ISIS attack in Bir al-Fawaraa area southwest of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs province, SANA reported.

According to a military source, scores of ISIS terrorists were killed in the attack and three armored vehicles and a number of cars equipped with machine guns were destroyed.

Meanwhile, another army unit clashed with an ISIS group that attacked a military post in Tuloul al-Faras area northeast of al-Qaryatain town in the southeastern countryside of Homs.

All members of the terrorist group were killed and two armored vehicles and three cars equipped with 23 mm guns were destroyed as a result of the clashes.
