French analyst: Syrian army’s victories in Aleppo proves western policy fiasco

The French political analyst Caroline Galactéros has described Syrian Arab army’s advance in the eastern district of Aleppo city as ‘very important’, recommending its success in saving huge number of civilians from terrorist organizations.

She told the ‘Le Figaro’ newspaper that the Syrian army’s battle in Aleppo proves fiasco of western diplomacy towards Syria. “Recapturing the whole city of Aleppo from terrorists is imminent and it will be a political victory. It will show that the support offered by the United States and France for terrorist organizations in Syria has not achieved its goals.”

Galactéros, in addition, indicated that Russia managed to marginalize the US role in supporting terrorists in Syria when it used diplomacy to preserve Syria’s unity while France continued to practice its wrong policy, which rejects dialogue with Syria and Russia and fuels the crisis in Syria.

“France committed a mistake when it selected military choice to resolve the crisis in Syria,” the analyst said, calling for Paris, Washington, Ankara and Riyadh to acknowledge their failure in their war on Syria because of their wrong policies.

She stressed that the Turkish regime has supported ISIS terrorists for a long time because it has not abandoned its regional greed in Syria and Iraq, according to the Syrian Tishreen newspaper.

“Today, our world needs political realism, enhancement of international cooperation, revival of United Nations’ role, respecting the UN charter which is based on rejecting intervention in states’ internal affairs under whatever pretexts,”   Galactéros concluded.
