Syria Ready for Resumption of Intra-Syrian Dialogue without Foreign Interference or Pre-Conditions

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The Syrian Arab Republic is ready for the resumption of Intra-Syrian dialogue without foreign interference or preconditions, a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Friday.

The announcement  was made in response to UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura’s call for resuming dialogue on Syria.

 AFP quoted de Mistura as saying to journalists on Thursday following a Security Council closed meeting that it “is time to consider the possibility of reviving political talks on Syria.”  

The ministry’s source told SANA that Syria indicates that de Mistura hasn’t specified a date for resuming the dialogue since it stopped last May.
