Army and allied forces establish control over Masaken Hanano in Aleppo

Provinces – Army and Armed Forces units continued making progress in combating terrorist groups across the country on Saturday, with the army establishing full control over Masaken Hanano in Aleppo, SANA reported.

Aleppo

Army units, aided by allied forces, established full control over Masaken Hanano and the area surrounding it in Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on the terrorists who were in those areas, a military source said.

The army’s engineering units dismantled mines and explosive devices that terrorists planted earlier in the neighborhood’s squares and streets.

Later, a military source said that army units destroyed 8 vehicles along with the ISIS terrorists on board in the villages of al-Mazboura and al-Qutbiya in Aleppo’s eastern countryside.

al-Qaryatain

A military source said that the sorties targeted gatherings and positions of the ISIS terrorist organization to the southeast of al-Qaryatain village and in the surroundings of al-Shaer gas field in the countryside of Palmyra and in the village of Rasm Hamida, 73 km to the east of Homs City, SANA reported.

The source added that a number of the ISIS leaders were killed in the sorties after destroying one of their command centers and a number of their vehicles were destroyed, some of which equipped with heavy machineguns and others were carrying a number of terrorists onboard.

 Quneitra

Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, thwarted an Israeli-linked Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ attack on military posts in the northern countryside of Quneitra.

The army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, clashed with armed terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization positioning in Tranjeh, in the surroundings of Tal al-Hamiriyeh and Jibata al-Khashab and attempted to attack some military posts in al-Nakkar al-Gharbi site and al-Amal Farms in the northern countryside of the province.

The army killed and injured a number of terrorists, while the rest fled towards the areas where they positioned in addition to destroying their weapons and equipment.

Hama, Idleb

Meanwhile, the Syrian army air force carried out intensive airstrikes against positions of “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists in the countryside of Hama and Idleb.

A military source said that the airstrikes targeted gatherings and supply routes of the terrorist organizations in Mourek City, Sksek village and to the north of Souran City in the northern countryside of Hama province.

The airstrikes also targeted terrorists’ dens and supply routes in the towns of Khan Sheikhoun and al-Taman’a and to the north of Abu al-Dohour town in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idleb northern province.

The source added that scores of terrorists were killed including some of their leaders after destroying a number of their command centers, fortifications, armored vehicles and caches of arms and ammunition in the airstrikes.

Daraa

Army units killed and injured a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their weapons and equipment in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa province.

An army unit destroyed Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ hideout in the western part of al-Nazihin Camp, killing most members of an armed terrorist group were positioned inside a building in the surrounding of al-Masri roundabout in Daraa al-Balad area in the Province.
