Zakharova: Terrorists still hinder the humanitarian operation in eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo

Moscow – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova affirmed on Thursday that terrorist groups still hinder the humanitarian operation in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo and continue preventing civilians from leaving via the humanitarian corridors determined by the Syrian government, SANA reported.

In its weekly press conference, Zakharova pointed out that the terrorist organizations continue to shell the residential neighborhoods, target civilians and schools in the western neighborhoods of Aleppo and the city of Damascus and its suburbs, including the Russian Embassy in Damascus.

Zakharova refuted the western claims accusing the Syrian government and Russian forces of causing human casualties without giving evidence, while deliberately ignoring the crimes committed by terrorist organizations against civilians and school children in Syria.

Responding to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power’s comments about the humanitarian situation in Syria last Monday, Zakharova described the US State Department’s assessment of the situation in Syria as based on fabricated facts and false reports.

She wandered that Power just ignores the destruction of civil facilities in Syria caused by the US aircrafts.
