Protests against Terrorists in Aleppo Eastern Districts Continue, Gunmen Open Fire on Protesters

ALEPPO, (ST)- Members of the terrorist takfiri organizations opened fire on demonstrators protesting the terrorists’ atrocities and demanding them to leave Aleppo or allow the civilians to exit the city through the safe corridors specified by the Syrian government in coordination with the Russian side for this purpose.

SANA reporter said citing local sources as saying that hundreds of residents in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo took to streets on Friday to put pressure on terrorists to leave the area or allow the civilian population to leave. The terrorists opened fire on protesters causing the martyrdom and wounding of tens of people including children, the reporter added.

According to the local sources, the terrorists abducted a number of civilians and took them to their dens inside the eastern neighborhoods. They  stressed that the terrorist organizations continue committing crimes against the residents and shoot fire on all who try to flee through the humanitarian corridors.

Aleppo eastern districts have witnessed over the past week a state of popular outrage against the terrorists there. Daily demonstrations are organized to demand the departure of the terrorists from Aleppo.

Terrorist takfiri groups, most of them are affiliated to “Jabhat al-Nusra”, “Nour Eddin Zinki” and Ahrar al-Sham” terrorist organizations are besieging thousands of civilians in the eastern parts of Aleppo. The terrorists prevent the residents from leaving the districts and use them as human shields. They also steal the food materials and prevent the locals from receiving humanitarian aid.

spokesperson of the Russian Defense Ministry Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that terrorists in various parts of eastern Aleppo have opened fire at civilians, killing over a dozen people and injuring more than 40, after demonstrations broke out in the city.

On Thursday, residents of eastern Aleppo held protests in the city, which the terrorists suppressed by opening fire at the civilians, according to Sputnik.

“The militants dispersed the demonstration, shooting at the protesting from a heavy machine gun and then mined all the approaches to the checkpoint and placed snipers on the roofs of nearby houses,” Konashenkov said describing one of the incidents, involving about 300 civilians.

In a different area, about 200 civilians were demonstrating and trying to make way to a territory controlled by Syrian government forces. The militants opened fire at the demonstrators.

“Seventeen people died at the site, including two teenagers of 13 and 15 years of age, over 40 people were wounded,” Konashenkov said.

He added that the militants detained about 10 men whom they deemed responsible for organizing the demonstrations and then killed all of them.

“The terrorists detained and drove away in an unknown direction with about 10 men, who they thought were the ‘organizers’ of the turmoil. That same evening all of them were shot,” Konashenkov said.

The Iranian Fars News Agency (FNA) cited media reports as saying that residents of the Eastern parts of Aleppo city took to the streets holding up pictures of President Bashar Al-Assad and requesting terrorists to leave Aleppo immediately.

A video footage released on Thursday showed picture of President Al-Assad put on the entrance gate of Abu Bakr al-Sadiq mosque in Sakhor district, the agency said.
