Syriatech 2016 Expo Opens

Damascus, (ST) –Syriatech 2016 Exhibition was opened recently with the participation of some 30 local companies of information technology and communications at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus. The event was held by the Ministry of Communications and Technology in cooperation with Syriatel and “Innovators for Exhibitions and Conferences”.

The four-day exhibition includes services of different technology companies as well as ISPs companies, programming and many offers and discounts and reduced prices to add to the outlets directly to the latest technology.

 In a statement to reporters at the opening of the exhibition, Minister of Communications and Technology, Dr. Ali al-Zafeer “affirmed the support of the Ministry of Communications for the IT sector and the digital economy which was damaged during the crisis and for efforts exerted by the cadres of the ministry to prepare the infrastructure for the sector regarding the project’s digital signature or electronic payment.”

The Minister noted the return of many companies to participate in exhibitions technology,” in addition to “offer fiber services that give new speeds for businesses or homes of up to 20 or 50 or 75 or 100 MB, “noting that this technology has been applied in Damascus, Homs, Tartous and Lattakia.”

For her part,  Director of Marketing at the company of “Innovators for Exhibitions and conferences” Hala Sharbajee explained that the third session of the Syriatech Exhibition included local technology companies of different disciplines in the field of technology, both with regard to technological solutions or communications “Software and Hardware” as well as Internet services provider companies and optical cables companies .

During the exhibition, Syriatel company announced its intention to launch a new “IPTV” technique soon as the first company of communications to offer this service in Syria, which is a new technology relating to data on adjusting digital television screens.
