MP Fares Shehabi to ST: Aleppo battle will end up soon with liberating it from terrorists

All eyes turn to what is happening in Aleppo province, north of Syria, as several regional and international countries are involved in the ongoing fighting there.

The real reasons of the countries’ involvement in Aleppo fighting have not been mentioned by the misleading media outlets that only circulate tragic stories about children living in terrorists-held areas in Aleppo and turn a blind  eye to victims of daily terror attacks in government-held areas.

Turkey is seeking to annex Aleppo, while Saudi Arabia is seeking to destroy the moderate Sufi Islam and Syrian civilization in the province, the Syrian Member of Parliament Fares Shehabi told the Syria times e-newspaper’s reporter via WhatsApp.

He added that the west wants to destroy Syria because it is a line of defense against Israel. “The west wants to eliminate the Syrian state’s independence.”

The MP also referred to the hypocrisy of the international community which justifies bombardment of Mosul in Iraq in which 1 million civilians are still trapped and criticizes operations for liberating Aleppo city from terrorists for the return of 1 million displaced civilians to their homes.

“The hypocritical western media claims that NATO missiles do not kill civilians! Their support for Jabhat al-Nusra is a stigma in the history of human civilization and democracy,” Mr. Shehabi said.

Goal of escalated terror attacks

He underscored that the goal of escalation of terror attacks in Aleppo city is to smash and break morale of the pro-Syrian state people and to force them to flee the city.

“Terrorist organizations killed over 200 civilians and wounded 700 others, a third of them children, in one month. Add to that, the recent invasion carried out by the terrorist Abi Omar Saraqib caused displacement of 200.000 persons from al-Jadedeh, al-Hamdaneyeh and the ‘1070’ areas in Aleppo city,”  the MP said.

He confirmed that there are documents prove that terrorist organizations used chemical weapons against civilians for several times during the past years.

‘We will win‘

Mr. Shehabi, who writes the statement ‘we will win’ in his  WhatsApp status, is sure of victory over foreign-backed terrorist organizations in Aleppo. 

” Aleppo battle will end up soon with liberating all neighborhoods and rural areas. We prefer peaceful solutions, so we have offered several humanitarian pauses and opened exit corridors  for departure of gunmen from Aleppo city in accordance with presidential amnesty decree, but to no avail. The remaining choice is military decisiveness, which people are calling for,” he asserted.

As for the role of Russia and Iran in fighting terrorism in Syria, the MP clarified that these two countries are fighting terrorism in Syria in accordance with a demand from the legitimate Syrian State.

“They [ Russia and Iran] are playing a key role in the coalition formed by the Syrian state against the terrorist coalition that includes Wahhabism [Saudi Arabia], NATO and world terrorist organizations,” Mr. Shehabi concluded.

Since 2011, Syria has witnessed a foreign-backed terror war targeting its army, people, civilization and infrastructures.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the U.S, Britain, France, Israel and Jordan support terrorist organizations operating in Syria in accordance with US-Zionist plot that aims to fragment the region and to have hegemony over its wealth.
