Mr. President, Deeds or Words!

Almost 6 weeks back, my Colleague at the Syria Times, Mayssa Wassouf, asked me whether it would be for Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Trump. I said -to Miss Maysa’s surprise- it would be for Trump.

For Mr. Trump, because a deep look into humans’ inner oneness worldwide would but lead to the essence of human nature’s goodness and rejection for bloodshed and evil. The US citizens, according to accumulated facts and failures of declared non-sense wars, are fed up! The running blood of the innocents raised and awakened the masses worldwide, and the Americans are no exception.

The democrats’ , not to forget the Republican’s Bush, alliance with Lucifire, extremism and Wahabbism has benefited Arms industry but has been counterproductive. Thus, the Americans opted for balance and for hopefully a positive U-turn, away from the Mrs. Clinton’s warmonger sword rattling. The Americans opted for the man who expressed, so far in words, the intention to build relations with all in the interest of welfare, peace and reciprocity.

Thorough readings and deep analysis of what Mr. Trump has been saying would but give millions worldwide the hope that the globe is on for a less war, less use of terrorism as a political pressure means, less of bias, false flags, fabrications and arrogance. Hopefully the globe is to witness a new chapter of cooperation, peace and reconstruction with other international forces like Russia, Iran, China, BRICS…

For the Syrians, who have been paying heavy for their sovereignty, independence and civilization, it is important to have a clean white hand stretched from the White House as to help and in coordination with Syria, to cleanse Syria, if not the region from terrorism. Hopefully Mr. Trump’s words in appreciation of the Syrians’ fight against terrorism would be deeds indeed as to gather efforts to get the entire globe rid from terrorism, and as to build peace, given the fact that the USA is one of Madrid Peace Process sponsors!

On Sept. 12, 2001, H.E. President  Bashar  Al-Assad sent a heart-felt cable to the then US counterpart, George W. Bush condemning the terrorist attacks against innocent civilians and vital posts in the USA. Mr. Al-Assad, on behalf of the Syrians and of his own, offered condolences to the American people and to the bereaved families and urged for international cooperation as to uproot all form of terrorism and as to guarantee man’s right to live in security and peace everywhere in the world.

On Oct. 31, 2001, and in a joint press conference  with the visiting former British premier, Tony Blair, President Al-Assad reiterated Syria’s condemnation of the Sept. 11 attacks against the US saying ” The Syrian condemnation doesn’t come from what happened on Sept. 11th, but as a result for other factors including the Syrian deep-rooted and old principles throughout ages, social, religious” recalling what Syria suffered of terrorism in the mid of the 70’s and what follows, asserting the need for ” tackling the causes which motivate and proliferate terrorism recalling the late president, Hafez Assad, 1985 dispatching of Syria officials worldwide as to call for the convocation of an international conference to define and combat terrorism. Mr. Assad said: “To tackle the issue of terrorism is to start with defining this vocabulary” is to ” define its form and nature” and then is to ” analyze its causes”‘, ” We have to deal with the reasons and not with results” of terrorism.

Terrorism by US definition, according to the US yearly congress report, is the “premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against non-combatant targets by sub-national groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience.” If so, why has the Government of the USA  been involved in backing, grooming up, and encouraging such a “premeditated, politically motivated violence” against Syria, which according to a statement in 2002 by US State Department official, Richard W. Erdman, the chief State Department specialist for Syria, “saved American lives,” in the aftermath of September 11 terrorist attacks! And not to forget, of course, the Syrian AbdelRahman Zeitoun , who emigrated to the USA two decades ago and  risked his life as to save many American lives during Catherina.
