Chief of General Staff inspects military positions in Aleppo and its countryside

Aleppo – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub, accompanied by a number of General Command officers, conducted a tour on Saturday during which he inspected a number of military positions in Aleppo and its countryside.

Ayoub was briefed in detail by field commanders on the nature of the operations carried out in cooperation with supporting forces and the plans for the operations against terrorist organizations, as well as the combat activities carried out south and west of Aleppo.

Ayoub lauded the soldiers’ efforts and bravery in confronting terrorists, relaying to them the appreciation of President al-Assad and his pride in their heroics and sacrifices.

 

The Chief of General Staff also visited the Air Force Academy in Kwairis and met its director and officers, who briefed him on the nature of the operations being carried out in confronting ISIS, with Ayoub lauding the heroic steadfastness of the location’s garrison and the units defending it, SANA reported.

Ayoub then visited Martyr Abdulwahab Agha Military Hospital in Aleppo city and checked on the health of injured army personnel, wishing them a swift recovery.
