Terrorist Groups in Aleppo Shell Humanitarian Corridors, Russian Soldiers, Syrian Al-Ekhbaryya TV Reporter Injured

ALEPPO, (ST)-Foreign-backed armed groups affiliated to “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorist organization, having positions in the eastern districts of Aleppo, on Thursday prevented civilians from leaving the city’s eastern districts hours before the announced humanitarian pause was about to end, the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said on Friday.

SANA reporter in Aleppo said that the terrorist groups prevented civilians from benefiting from today’s humanitarian pause and leaving the terrorist-held area  through the safe corridors set by the Syrian army in coordination with the Russian side for this purpose.

The terrorists fired rockets at the Castello corridor where ambulances and some committees were waiting to receive the sick and injured people who want to leave the eastern districts.

Correspondent of the Syrian Al-Ekhbariya TV Walid Hanaya was also injured in the terrorist attack on the Castello corridor, SANA said.

According to  RT, two Russian soldiers were injured by terrorist groups’ fire in Aleppo when a humanitarian corridor they were guarding was shelled.

“The soldiers were promptly evacuated to a safe part of the city and treated for their injuries. Their lives are not in danger,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

On Wednesday, the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces announced a new 10-hour humanitarian pause on Friday.

All previously set  humanitarian corridors will be opened for both civilians and gunmen to leave safely from the Aleppo eastern neighborhoods if they are willing, the army command said.

The command urged all gunmen in eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo to halt fighting, benefit from the humanitarian pause and leave the city with their individual weapons through the Castello corridor in the north and through Souk al-Kheir –al-Masharqa corridor towards Idleb.

The command also called on people willing to leave the eastern districts to use the six corridors set previously for the exit of civilians as well as for injured and sick people.
