Army kills scores of terrorists in different areas across the country

Provinces – The Army and Armed Forces Units continued targeting the terrorist organizations’ positions and hideouts, killing and injuring scores of their members and destroying their weaponry, SANA reported.

Damascus Countryside

An Army and Armed Forces unit established full control over Khirbet al-Abbasiya in Khan al-Sheih area in the southwestern part of Damascus Countryside.

A field commander said on Wednesday that an army unit carried out a decisive special operation that resulted in establishing control over Khirbet al-Abbasiya following clashes with terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Cham movement, killing many terrorists while the rest fled.

The field commander said that army units canvassed the area and dismantled IEDs and landmines planted by terrorists, noting that with this achievement, terrorist groups in Khan al-Sheih are now encircled from all directions.

Daraa

An army unit killed almost all members of an armed terrorist group affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra area in the southern parts of Daraa al-Balad in Daraa province. The army destroyed the terrorist group’s bulldozer and weapons.

Deir Ezzor

Army units defending Deir Ezzor Airport targeted positions and gatherings of ISIS terrorists to the east of the Airport, the Farms and the vicinity of the ceramic factory in Deir Ezzor province.

A number of the ISIS terrorists were killed and others were injured in the strikes and their dens and gatherings were destroyed with all the arms and ammunition inside them.

Scores of the ISIS terrorists were also killed and their arms and equipment were destroyed in al-Jafra village, 10 km to the southeast of Deir Ezzor City.

Hama

Units of army expanded control onto the south and north of Tal Bazam and established control on Tal Masin, killed a number of terrorists and destroyed a number of their vehicles in Hama northern countryside.

Units of the army thwarted an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate into Hama, seizing explosive devices and belts and a quantity of bombs.

A source in Hama said that the army monitored an armed terrorist group which was trying to infiltrate into Hama city, arresting a number of the terrorists and confiscating their explosives.

Lattakia

A Special Missions unit of the Syrian army destroyed two barricades for terrorists, killing all those around them, to the west of Shir al-Nimr in the eastern countryside of Lattakia province.
