Shaaban Urges Mastering Professional Media Tools to Confront West’s Misleading Media War on Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban has stressed that Syria and the Arab world are facing a heinous media war aiming to mislead the public opinion and distort facts, pointing out that this necessitates efforts to master professional media tools as to face this war, convey the truth and build confidence between the media and people.

 In a lecture on “Media’s Role in the Current Era and Future Prospects”, Shaaban stressed the need that national media in the Arab world should work to bridge the knowledge gap regarding events in Syria and the Arab region and to make the West miss the chance to exploit the weakness of the Arab media and persist in reporting lies and fabrications that serve certain agendas of some governments.
