Russian support in Syria helps in curbing terror

From the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, Russia has been playing an effective role in supporting Syrian people and exerting strenuous efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria. The Russian support has entered a new phase when the Russian military started to launch air strikes against terrorist gatherings in various areas.

The effective support provided by the Russian forces for the Syrian Arab Army in its war against terrorism has played a crucial role in repelling the attacks launched by ISIS, al-Nosra Front and other terrorist organizations.

The contribution of the Russian Air Forces in counter terrorism came upon a request by Syria, making it a legitimate and constitutional contribution in accordance with the international law.

The operations of the Russian Air Force in Syria have proved Russia’s credibility and seriousness in fighting terrorism. Syrian people renew gratitude to Russia for its constant military, political and economic support in order to eradicate terrorism and bolster steadfastness as well as to restore stability and security to the country.

The main aim for the Russian operation in Syria is to help the Syrians and Syrian Arab Army in fighting terrorists. Russian airstrikes on terrorist organizations in Syria over the past year have ensured that “neither Islamic State, nor Al-Qaeda nor the Nusra Front are spreading in other Syrian areas.

The unwavering Russian determination to continue to provide the necessary support for Syria in the face of the aggression in spite of Western arrogance is not strange as Russia is an international heavyweight that is known for its keenness on preserving world peace and stability in accordance with international laws.

The hostile Western statements towards Russia and Syria came in response to the battle waged by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorist organizations in Aleppo, with the support of the Russian forces and the great victories realized against ISIS, al-Nosra Front and their affiliates.

The great sacrifices made by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and the Russian soldiers in defense of Syria have contributed to curbing terrorist organizations and forcing them to retreat. The Russian support for the Syrian state involves the media sector, not only the logistic, military and humanitarian fields.

On the contrary, the so-called US coalition did not fight ISIS as it claimed, rather it has been targeting the Syrian infrastructure and helping ISIS and other terrorist organizations.
