Terrorists Continue to Prevent Civilians from Leaving Aleppo Eastern Neighborhoods for Third Day

ALEPPO, (ST)-For the third day running, the terrorist organizations in Aleppo continued on Saturday to prevent civilians and repentant gunmen from leaving the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo through the safe corridors set by the Syrian Arab Army in coordination with the Russian side.

According to SANA correspondent in Aleppo, no civilians left the Aleppo eastern districts on Saturday because the terrorist groups there prevented them in order to use them as human shields and because some countries supporting and financing terrorists seek exploiting the humanitarian situation in Aleppo.

A humanitarian pause was announced in Aleppo Thursday morning aiming to evacuate civilians and the wounded , to deliver humanitarian aid and to help the city be able to go back to peaceful life. In addition, the truce provided the gunmen with an opportunity to leave Aleppo through the set safe corridors.

Concerned parties in Aleppo province adopted all procedures necessary to welcome the people who leave Aleppo eastern districts, transfer them to temporary shelters and meet their basic needs.

On Thursday, helicopters of the Syrian Army threw hundreds of thousands of leaflets over the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo showing a map of the locations of the humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians and calling upon those involved in carrying up weapons to take the initiative of having their legal status settled.
