Army Command: Any Attempt by “Deash” Terrorists Fleeing Mosul to Enter Syrian Territories is an Aggression on Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces has stressed that the battle to liberate the Iraqi city of Mosul and other Iraqi territories from “Deash” terrorists is it own battle and warned that any attempt by Deash terrorists to cross into Syrian territories would be considered as an aggression on Syria’s sovereignty that would be dealt with by all possible means.

A statement by the Command said on Tuesday that “after the start of the Iraqi army military operations to recapture Mosul and after the fleeing of “Deash” terrorists under the Iraqi army strikes, a malicious scheme by supporters of international terrorism, mainly the United States and Saudi Arabia, has emerged aiming to ensure safe routes and corridors to fleeing Deash terrorists to cross into the Syrian territories.”

According to the command, the aim of securing these corridors is to protect these terrorists and enhance the terrorist presence inside the Syrian territories in an attempt to impose a new situation on ground in Syria’s eastern region, particularly in Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Palmyra.
