Al-Moallem in Russia late October: Syrian Embassy in Moscow

 MOSCOW, (ST)- The Syrian Embassy in Moscow announced on Tuesday that the Deputy Prime Minister , Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem will start a 3-day visit to Russia late October.

The Russia Today website quoted the Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Riad Haddad as saying that al-Moallem will meet senior Russian officials including the Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

 On Friday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Genady Gatilov announced that  al-Moallem is to visit Moscow lat this month.

According to Gatilov,  al-Moallem will arrive in the Russian capital within the last week of October, but the precise date of the visit will be agreed on through diplomatic channels between the two countries.
