Activities of Arab Child Day, Syrian-Russian Cultural Week kicked off in coastal provinces

The activities of the 14th session of the Arab Child Day have kicked off in the cultural center in Tartous city and it will be held in different parts of the province, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported yesterday that the five-day activities include art workshops, stage shows, dances, exhibition and interactive narrative which come within the project of “life skills and psychological support” launched by  Cultural Directorate in the city of Tartous.

Deputy Minister of Culture Mr. Tawfiq al-Imam told SANA that the activities aim to develop child’s culture in all fields.

Ministry of Culture also held yesterday the Syrian-Russian Cultural week in Lattakia city in order to boost relations between the peoples of the two countries.

Ballet and folk dances, concerts, symposium on archaeological sites in Russia and a Russian film translated into Arabic are among the activities of the Syrian-Russian week.

The event was described by the Director of Cultural Directorate in Lattakai city Mr. Majed Sarem as ‘message of love’ to the Russian people and leadership for their firm stances towards Syria.

“The Syrian-Russian week has a cultural message to the whole world that Syria loves life, peace and art,” he concluded.
