Ingredients
50 g light soft brown sugar
50 g caster sugar
300ml double cream
50 g golden syrup
50g butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation
1-Melt butter, sugars and syrup in a small heavy based pan and let simmer for 3 minutes, swirling every now and again.
2-Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan set over a low heat, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Turn the heat up and bubble the sauce for 2-3 mins until golden and syrupy.
3- Leave to cool for 10 mins before serving.
