Reconciliation Agreement in Qadsayya and al-Hameh Almost Ready to be Implemented – Minister

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar has affirmed that the ongoing reconciliation process in Qadsayya and al-Hameh areas in Damascus Countryside aims at of helping the state institutions resume work there , pointing out that the Syrian Arab Army’s operations are facilitates reconciliation and provides safety and security to all who want the state and its institutions to continue.

 Interviewed by the Syrian TV last night, Haidar said the reconciliation agreement is almost in its last phase and final details are to be completed within the coming few days.  

“Some 600 gunmen are to leave al-Hameh and Qadsayya in accordance with the reconciliation agreement. Other gunmen are scheduled to settle their legal status,” the minister said.

 He added that when the Syrian Arab Army approaches any area all feel safe so they rush to it seeking this feeling, urging all citizens to return to their houses after the agreement is implemented and the gunmen leave.

Haidar asserted that the gunmen in all areas have no chance other than reconciliation, because these areas are part of the Syrian social, economic and geographic fabric.

In the same context, Mufti of Aleppo Mahmoud Akkam told the Syrian TV that the reconciliation process continues in Aleppo neighborhoods as to empty the city of gunmen and weapons, however some mercenaries particularly in eastern Aleppo are trying to undermine this process by terrorizing those who seek reconciliation.
