Syria Strongly Condemns Saudi Massacre against Yemeni Civilians

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Syria has condemned in the strongest terms the Saudi criminal attack which yesterday targeted a funeral in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. The attack claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent people and wounded hundreds others.

The aggression was the latest of a series of air strikes against Yemeni civilians by Saudi-led aggression coalition and their mercenaries backed by the United States, in a clear escalation against peace efforts in Yemen.

A source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates told SANA on Sunday that the new Saudi massacre confirms the suspicious destructive role of the Wahhabi Saudi regime against the peoples of the region’s countries including Yemen, Iraq, Syria and others in order to weaken the morale of these peoples and destroy the infrastructure of their countries in the service of the American-Israeli scheme to dominate the entire region.

According to the source, the Syrian Arab Republic extends its condolences to the families of the victims and expresses its solidarity with the Yemeni people. It calls on all peace-loving peoples to condemn the horrible crime and work to put an end to the aggressive policy of the Saudi regime, the main base of takfiri thinking and the key supporter of terrorism threatening the world’s security and stability.

The source concluded the statement by saying that aggression will come to an end one day and the Syrian and Yemeni peoples will triumph on hegemony powers and their tools including the wahhabi regime in Saudi Arabia.
