Close Connection

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Information Minister Mohammad Ramez Turjeman has stressed that the United States is waging a proxy war in the region using “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorist organization as a tool and this is what makes Washington unable to strike it or even separate it from the so-called “opposition”.

In an interview with the Russian “Sputnik” news agency published on Friday, Turjeman said “there is a close connection between Jabhat al-Nusra and the American Administration because of the new American policy in the region which is the proxy war.”

“Washington has two arms in this war; the first is Deash with which it can’t announce its relation but keep claiming that it is fighting it and the second is Jabhat al-Nusra with which it has close connection,” the minister added.

The United States tried to help “Jabhat al-Nusra” by changing its name to “Jabhat Fath al-Sham”, however, terrorist gangs are not identified by their names but by their practices, according to Turjeman who asserted that all the armed factions and gangs in Syria are terrorist groups that can’t be separated from one another .
