JCI carried out project for promoting principles of ‘peace and love’ among children in Syria

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) in Lattakia province has carried out a project called the ‘sons of life’ that aims to discover the talents of children and to teach them the social and moral values in order to be able to take part in building the modern Syria.

The project included a humanitarian message sent by 25 children aged between 6 and 12 to support the principles of ‘peace and love’, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency indicated that the children, who took part in the project, got a benefit from the project which comes within the social development and based on the ‘ Peace is possible’ campaign launched by the JCI all over the world.

“The children were taught rhetoric, debate and medical information, and they were briefed on the 17 sustainable development goals approved by the United Nations,” Deputy Chairwoman of the JCI Mais Haidar said.

She stressed that the children were active during the sessions held on peace and its values.

About 17 volunteers from the JCI supervised the activities held for the children for two weeks.

The JCI is a non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people between 18 and 40 years old. It has members in about 124 countries and regional or national organizations in many of them.

Since 2011, a foreign-backed terror war has been waged on Syria targeting its people, army, civilization and infrastructures in accordance with the US-Zionist plot that aims to fragment the region and to have hegemony over its wealth.
