“Jabaht al-Nusra” Commander Acknowledges the Terrorist Group Getting Support from United States

A commander of “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorist takfiri group, which recently renamed itself, has said the United States is supporting the group.

“The Americans are on our side,” said the commander, identified only as Abu al-Ezz, in an interview with German-language daily Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger in Aleppo city, according to RT report on Monday.

He said al-Nusra has been receiving funding from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait, and has obtained tanks and [BM-21] multiple rocket launchers from Libya via Turkey as well.

The terrorist Abu al-Ezz further praised the delivery to the group of US-supplied TOW anti-tank missiles, saying, “The missiles were given directly to us. They were delivered to a certain group.”

He added that “American instructors were in Syria to teach us how to use the new equipment.”

According to the terrorist, armed groups should be receiving more “sophisticated weapons” from their backers to fight the Syrian government.

He referred to the existence of officers from Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Israel and America working along with Jabhat al-Nusra as experts in the use of satellites, rockets, reconnaissance and thermal security cameras.

He also said that Jabhat Al-Nusra has been paid for achieving specific military goals during the conflict in Syria.

“We got 500 million Syrian pounds and $5 million from Saudi Arabia plus 1.5 million Kuwaiti dinars (around $500,000) from Kuwait,” the terrorist said, adding that the money came from the governments of those states, not private individuals.

He acknowledged that Israel is also giving support to al-Nusra terrorists.

Israel used to provide air cover to terrorists’ attacks and offer medical treatment to injured terrorists in its hospitals.

He added the West also paved the way for terrorists coming to Syria, saying that “we have many fighters from Germany, France, Britain, America and from all the Western countries”.

‘Al-Nusra using “ceasefire” to regroup, prepare for new attacks’

In the interview, Abu al-Ezz confirmed statements made by Moscow and the Syrian government that the terrorists were using the “ceasefire”, agreed by Russia and US on September 9, to prepare for a new offensive.

“We do not recognize the ceasefire. We will regroup our groups for coming attacks. We have regrouped our forces in all provinces, including Homs, Aleppo, Idlib and Hama,” terrorist Abu Al Ezz said.

He stressed that” Jabhat Al-Nusa” would not let trucks with humanitarian aid enter Aleppo as long as the Syrian army forces are along the Castello Road, in Al Malah and in the northern regions.

“If a truck is going in anyway, we will detain the driver,” he said.

Abu al-Ezz openly confirmed that Jabhat Al-Nusra “is part of Al Qaeda,” the terrorist network responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

The terrorist group announced its dissociation from al-Qaeda and changed its name to “Jabhat Fateh al-Sham” in an attempt to mislead the world and avoid calls for targeting it.
