Desperate attempt to boost terrorists’ morale

The Israeli cooperation with the terrorist groups has been so clear through supplying them with arms, facilitating the movement of terrorists and their weapons and equipment within occupied territories, and helping them in their attack on the UN forces along the zone of separation. Israel did not hide its support to the armed terrorist groups and the treatment of more than 2000 terrorists in the Israeli hospitals is a clear evidence on such support. Hospitalization is only one form of the support the Israeli authorities overtly provide the terrorist organizations with. This support has mounted to the Israeli army launching attacks on sites inside the Syrian territories to support the terrorists.

Israeli hospitals continue receiving more terrorists who get injured in Syria to provide treatment to them, in a form of Israel’s overt support to the terrorist organizations that has been going on throughout the five-year crisis in Syria. The Israeli forces admitted hundreds of terrorists to the Israeli hospitals to be treated, which proves the Israeli complete support for the terrorists and their leaders in Syria. More than 200 wounded terrorists have been hospitalized at the Israeli hospital of Poriya so far. However, there are conflicting figures on the number of injured terrorists who have been admitted to Israeli hospitals. According to news agencies, there are more than 2000 wounded terrorists at hospitals in the occupied Arab territories.

The recent Israeli attacks against Syrian army positions are a desperate attempt to boost the deteriorating morale of the terrorist organizations after the losses inflicted upon them by the Syrian army in Quneitra Countryside and across Syria. Within the framework of its direct support to terrorists, Israel launched a series of flagrant attacks on the Syrian territories and the Armed Forces during the past few weeks. These attacks came in line with the strategic alliance between the Zionist entity and the armed terrorist groups, particularly Jabhat al-Nusra (Fateh al-Sham.)

In the early morning of September 13th, 2016, the Israeli enemy’s air force attacked Syrian military positions in the countryside of the southern Quneitra City. The Syrian air defense forces responded to the attack and shot down an Israeli warplane to the southwest of Quneitra and an Israeli drone to the west of Sa’sa’ town in the southwestern countryside of Damascus. The recent Israeli attacks revealed once again the deeply-rooted relations between Israel and the terrorist groups in Syria.

The UN Security Council should take all procedures, stipulated in the UN Charter, to punish Israeli entity for its offenses and force it to halt its aggression and immediately suspend its support to terrorists and armed groups, particularly Jabhat al-Nusra which was included in the Council’s list of terrorist groups and entities. It is not possible for some UN Security Council members, who adopted defending the Israeli entity as a principle, to ignore the serious threat posed by the Israeli alliance with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.

This aggression was preceded by many as part of the Israeli enemy’s support for the terrorist organizations which have been waging a violent attack in the area of al-Amal Farms in Quneitra countryside. The Israeli enemy’s air force assisted the assault by Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups by attacking a position in Quneitra countryside.

An Israeli lawmaker has criticized the Tel Aviv regime for supporting Takfiri terrorists who are fighting in Syria. In one of his Facebook posts, Akram Hasson said the Fateh al-Sham terrorist group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, is operating in Syria with “unprecedented logistical and medical” support from Israel. He said Israel’s recent escalation of attacks on the Syrian army positions in the Golan Heights are aimed at paving the way for the terrorist group to gain more grounds. The Israeli lawmaker further said that the Fateh al-Sham terrorist group is bombing the Syrian village of Khadr, with the support of Israeli War Minister Avigdor Liebermann. Citing eyewitnesses, Hasson said the Takfiri terrorist group is using advanced technological equipment, adding Israel’s strategic support has been broadened over the past few months.

The Israeli and Western support of the takfiri terrorist groups operating in Syria will never make the Syrian army and people succumb to the US Zionist project. Rather it will increase their determination to press ahead with their battle against takfiri terrorism until eliminating it and restoring security and stability to Syria.
