Any Iran’s anti-terror act coordinated with Syrian gov’t

TEHRAN– Iran’s Deputy FM Hossein Jaberi Ansari told the presser in Damascus that the Islamic Republic of Iran is still in support of the legitimate central government of Syria.

“Any operation in the Syrian land without coordination with the Syrian establishment is unacceptable and entails chronic consequences,” said Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, who is visiting Damascus at his Tuesday presser in the Syrian capital city, according to Mehr News.

Referring to US policies in Syria, he underlined the impossibility of duplicity in talking about ceasefire on one hand and supporting the terrorist on the other hand.

“What happened in Deir ez-Zor pops up serious questions on the goals and policies of the US,” asserted the Iranian senior diplomat, “this is not an accident but a proof that some are playing the terrorism card.”

The visiting Iranian diplomat told the reporters present at the presser that some players are against ceasefire because their policies are based on the continuity of crisis in Syria.

“Keeping the unity of Syria is the responsibility of the Syrians themselves rather than any other players,” reiterated Hossein Jaberi Ansari, “as long as the members of the Syrian nation exercise their will, the territorial integrity of this country is under the threat of nobody.”

He voiced hope that the Syrian government, nation and political and social groups undertake proper policies to pave the way for eminent end of the crisis in the Arab country.

“We believe that any measure on the Syrian land against terrorism not coordinated with the central government will have adverse consequences in the future, even with positive results in the short run” reaffirmed the Iranian diplomat, “any measure undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Iran in terms of dealing with the Syrian crisis is certainly coordinated with the central government of Syria.”
