Zionist Occupation Attacks Come within Strategic Alliance between Occupation and Terrorist Groups, Particularly “Jabhat al-Nusra”

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The new Israeli aggression on Syrian Army positions in Quneitra is a desperate attempt to raise the collapsed morale of the terrorist groups due to the heavy losses they have suffered in Quneitra countryside and other Syrian areas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stressed in two identical letters to the UN Chief and President of the Security Council.

The ministry’s letter clarified that Israeli warplanes in the early morning of today attacked Syrian army positions in Quneitra countryside to support the terrorist organizations. The Syrian air defense forces responded to the attack and shot down an Israeli warplane to the southwest of Quneitra and an Israeli drone to the west of Sa’sa’ town.

The ministry said the terrorist attacks come within the framework of the strategic alliance between “Israel ” and the armed terrorist groups, particularly “Jabhat al-Nusra” (Fateh al-Sham) and its affiliated groups.

Israel never hid its support for the terrorist groups, particularly through providing medical treatment to injured terrorists in its hospitals, said the ministry, pointing out that Syria, through several foreign ministry’s letters to the U.N. and the Security Council, has repeatedly warned of the close cooperation between Israel and the terrorist groups.

It is not possible for the Security Council members, who have adopted the policy of defending “Israel” as a principle, to ignore the threat posed by Israel-Jabhat al-Nusra alliance under whatever pretexts or meaningless justifications, the ministry added.

It pointed out that Syria urged the Security Council and the United Nations to take all relevant measures provided in the UN Charter to punish “Israel” as an aggressor and force it to immediately stop its aggression and its support for the terrorists.
