The army establishes control over many areas in southern Aleppo

Provinces – Army units, backed by the army’s air force, on Thursday launched wide-scaled military operations against dens and gatherings of the terrorist organizations in different areas across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the arms and personnel, SANA reported.

Aleppo

Army units established full control over new areas in the southern parts of Aleppo city and in Aleppo southern countryside, after inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Fatah”.

 

A military source said that over the past few hours, army units, in cooperation with the supporting forces, carried out intensive operations against positions of the terrorist organizations in al-Ramousa area to the south of Aleppo city.

The source confirmed that the army established control over the gas factory, the tanneries, the slaughterhouse, the Post’s building and the military checkpoint site in the area, leaving many terrorists dead, in addition to destroying a number of their mortar positions, heavy machine guns and a cannon.

The army units and the supporting forces later continued to advance in the southern countryside of Aleppo province, establishing control over al-Talleh al-Safra’ (hill) to the east of Maarata amid clashes with the terrorist groups in the surroundings of the storehouses in the vicinity of the hill.

The reporter mentioned that the Syrian Air Force destroyed positions and supply routes of the terrorist organizations in the area of the storehouses of Khan Touman and in al-Hikma School, Maarata and to the south of Tallet Bazo, killing scores of terrorists and injuring others.

Sweida

An army unit carried out an operation against an ISIS-linked terrorist group that targeted a military post in Tal Asheihib in the northeastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.

All members of the terrorist group were either killed or injured, while a cannon and a number of mortar positions were destroyed in the operation.

Daraa

Army units destroyed two hideouts for the terrorist groups in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city and a command center in the eastern part of Bosra al-Sham city in Daraa countryside.

Hama

The Syrian Air Force destroyed positions and armored vehicles of the terrorist groups in the surroundings of Maardes, Tibet al-Imam, Tallet al-Nasiryieh, Atshan, al-Masasina and al-Latamina in the northern countryside of the central Hama province.
